If you’ve been going to the TeraTer markets in Verdun over the past few weeks, chances are you’ve seen us there. You may have also seen us during Promenade Wellington a couple weeks ago .
The Plant de Tomate table is easy to pick out from the vegetables. We are the folks with the multi-coloured jars of goodness – the product of our Food Transformers workshops that happen EVERY TUESDAY from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Dawson Community Centre. We give these jars away by donation – a steal of a deal for you and the proceeds directly support the project – it’s a win-win situation.
The TeraTer markets are winding down for the season, so be sure to get out there soon, if you haven’t already. Markets in Verdun are Wednesdays (in front of the Cultural Centre on Bannantyne) and Fridays (in the park adjacent to the Verdun metro). Find more info here.
And while you’re there, be sure to stop by our table and take home a bit of summer in a jar. We often have an assortment of pickles, jams, and relishes with occasional baked goods.
